. . . My Cosmetic Cases ?

I'm not one of the girlish girl, and I just learn how to use make up last few years ago . And yet, still learning, I didn't even know all the name of the tools, the brands, the usage of the tools (too many brush to use for one face!) and the steps of applying make up on your face. There's so much to learn, and I just stick with the basic - - for now .

I read Collegefashion.com last week about make up essentials, and realized that my make up bag still lacks of basic stuffs . From what I read, they divided the essentials into four parts - - face, eyes, lips and tools . So let's see whether are you having a complete basic essentials in your make up purse, or just same like me !

One - Face

What we should have ;

Primer
Minimizes pores and act as the base.

Foundation
To even the skin tones.

Blush / Bronzer
Accentuates your cheek bones/ give a shimmery feel, and catches the light.

And I have;

Honestly, I really don't know the difference between primer and foundation . I read some of the beauty blogs, they said primer acted as the canvas to smooth the face and to keep your makeup from melting (simply put, long-lasting). And there is actually an order on how to apply makeup on your face. It starts with primer - foundation - concealer - powder - blusher/bronzer, geez, its so hard to be a woman aight ? But I just keep it simple, and try not to paint 'ICI' on my face.

Primer
None, I'm just using Vitamin E moisturiser from The Body Shop.

Foundation
I have two, one for casual outing and one for formal occasion. The casual one is Oil-free foundation from The Body Shop and the other one is BB cream from Clinique. Both have SPF 15 and 30, and remember, always buy foundation with SPF (sun protection factor), it reflects UV-ray and avoid your skin from burning :)

Facial Powder
All in one face base by The Body Shop.

Blusher
I have two, but no longer using Benetint by Benefit cause it irritates my skin. Benetint is a cheek/lip stain, it works for both cheek and lip to redden them into the color of your choice, but I never trust two-in-one product. So now I am still loyal with rosy blusher from The Body Shop. It's all organic :)

PS: Don't forget to wash your face everyday before hit the bed, and apply some toner and night cream to your face! We still need to take a good care of our face even whilst we're asleep.

Two - Eyes

What we should have;

Eyeliner
Brings out the eyes color, and makes slit eyes look bigger.

Mascara
Add volumes to eye lashes.

Brow pencil
Accentuates natural feel, and an emergency tool for over-plucked eye brows.

Eye shadow
Enhances and illuminates the eyes.

And I have;
All of them - except eye brow pencil. I don't need one, because I just like the way they are :)

Eyeliner
I have four, two blacks in liquid from Maybelline and crayon from Silkygirl, and two browns in pencil from Silkygirl and The Body Shop. The liquid eyeliner from Maybeline is the best I've tried so far, and same goes with Silkygirl crayon eyeliner. Easy to handle, but easily smudge on sunny day. I maybe wanna try the refillable eyeliner by Estee Lauder once I run out of my liquid eyeliner!

Mascara
I love Sephora mascara ! Any ideas of any other good mascara ?

Eye shadows
I have a lot of colors before but I rarely used them until they're . .expired! Ha ha . But after I read some reviews on Urban Decay eye shadows on the net, I rushed to Sephora KL and bought one Urban Decay NAKED eye shadows palette. NAKED palette consists of earth-tones and natural colors and fell in love at the first sight :)

Three - Lips

Lip balm
To moisture dry lips.

Lipstick
Give your lips different colors to match your everyday outfits.

Lip gloss
Gives the lips a shiny effect/look.

What I have;
All of them, and I love collecting lipstick. I have more than 20, but most of them are finished, or expired. Girls, don't use expired make up - it's dangerous !

Lip balm
I used a pomegranate lip balm from Burt's Bees. The best lip balm I ever used, and you know what, pomegranate helps to redden the lips, naturally :)

Lipstick
I have various colors, from burgundy to orange, from purple to neon pink . Mostly from Topshop, but my two favourites are from Versace and Channel.

Lip gloss
I rarely use them, cause it feels sticky . But I have two, one from Clinique and the other one from The Body Shop.

Four - Tools

What we should have;

Brushes
To create a work of art on your face - from applying to blending. Different brushes have different functions.

Tweezers
To pluck hair.

Q-tip
Cotton swabs are perfect for blending, removing and applying different types of makeup.

What I have;
All, but currently not using the tweezers. I always have extras box of Q-tips and wet tissues inside my drawer. They are my essentials, and also a cleansing wipes. I found cleansing wipes from Garnier are the best, it removes my makeup in an instant.

And I bought a set of brushes from The Body Shop, so convenient :)

I know its a long post, some of you might get bored before reach the second paragraph, but it's nice to share some knowledge with my fellow female readers. And feel free to share some tips with me too, as I am now still learning and consider myself - - - very terrible when applying makeup even to myself ! Haishh .

And most of my makeup products are from natural/organic bases. I have quite sensitive skins, and I found organic makeups really do improve my skin condition. But the most important thing to have a good, healthy and glowing skin is discipline. Not expensive cosmetic products and brands .

And I think since I came to UK, I am obsessed with Cath Kidston and Ted Baker . I've bought like 3 Ted Baker's plastic tote bag and I really want to buy summore ! And I'm saving my money now to buy Cath Kidston polkadot travel bag and picnic basket set *another wishlist* hehe .

I think my patience are all paid off, and thanks to Ma and Pa too ! I need to start searching for a part time job now . Piggy bank, where are you ?

London Christmas & Boxing Day

TRUE STORY !

December 2011, it's my first time to experience the famous, London Boxing Day . I woke up really early and went to Oxford Street at 730 am to queue up in front of Selfridges; and I thought I was one of the early birds. TOOT ! WRONG ! The queue was so longgggggggg, I ended up queuing two blocks behind Selfridges . It was totally insane, but because of the "experience", I gathered up my strength and queued like everybody else - - just to see how crazy Boxing Day inside Selfridges . Sanggup kan ?

As 9 am approaching, I was so ready to walk inside, but noooo! Everybody is running like hill-billy, up and down the escalator, and grabbed whatever is near them. I was stucked in the crowd, still thinking where I want to go, I couldn't even get my list out of my bag! After half an hour, struggling and fighting for a space to walk, I managed to walk around and searching for my family's presents .

And everything they said about the insane price mark-down, not true . Not all the stuffs are discounted items, and the discount is not more than 50%. But still, INSANE ! I managed to buy a set of YSL Opium perfume for my mom, a 2011 Rally Polo Raulph Lauren shirt for my dad, a Gucci wallet for my brother, and a Marc Jacob earrings for my sister. And some Godiva for them .

And for me ? Hmm nothing much, hehe . I have a wish-list and I patiently waiting for Boxing Day to buy them - - paid off big time . I really want a Sofia Ugg boots in Cinnamon, and guess what , its on sale that day for 50% off ; even though I had to snatch them from a Japanese lady (sorry!) . And I bought two bags, a fuschia Longchamp Le Pliage and a Marc Jacob sling bag . I was (am) a happy girl, even though I forgot to eat lunch hehe :)

**scary story/intermission - On my way to Marble Arch to catch my bus to Oxford later that evening, Oxford Street has been blocked by Police and we had to detour almost four blocks away. And once I safely arrived in Oxford, I just read the news, and found out that they blocked the street because two teenagers were stabbed and one died in front of the Foot Locker. **

Plus I was very happy from the day before, the Christmas Day, even though London was shut down, with no transport and people. I got to spent a fabulous time with my friends ! We hired a Barclays bike, and cycled all over London . From Hyde Park to Paddington, to Buckingham Palace and lastly to Trafalgar Square . We bought some curry puff and Malay kuihs from Malaysian Hall, and had them for a quick snack at Trafalgar Square, nice time :)

Now, I really miss them . Thanks Hana, Amira & Nik ! And Ema too, even though she's in the next room .

And I do not miss London, it's so crowded . It feels so good to be back home, in Oxford . And see, only one bag of Selfridges (lie! lie!) .

Winter Wonderland 2011

Last week, 24th December, I went to London for my first Christmas experience plus Boxing Day, and meeting my friends from all over UK. I was so excited, and me, Ema and Hana booked two-nights room in Picadilly Backpackers till Boxing Day.

After we checked in, we straight went to Winter Wonderland (WW) ! It's our first WW here in UK, and we were celebrating with our friends, how cool is that ? And you know what, Winter Wonderland was awesome ! Whoever go to London in December, you guys should put WW on your top priority in your list . It's free admission, amazing food galore (for non-Muslim), cool rides everywhere, the decorations were just jaw-dropping gorgeous and, they even have circus inside . I really admire their creativeness in designing the park to be in a "Winter-Christmas" mood.

We were having so much fun on the crazy rides, had a nice chat with hot coffee and chocolate (& karipap! thanks Ida!), touring all over WW and we bought early tickets to see the extreme circus. It was a merry night, and enjoyable, especially when you had all your friends with you .

Thanks Ema, Hana, Mira, Nik, Ida, another Hana, Azlan, Warith and Puteri for your company :) My London Christmas experience wouldn't be complete without you guys. And enjoy some of the photos I've managed to snap that night (I totally forgot my camera in my bag!).

Christmas Light & Market

December Christmas Jingle !

It was an unplanned outing, but no one can't resist the first day they lighted up the Christmas light , right? And it surprised me when I saw parents taking their children to see the Christmas light and carol in the town, the buses were all full by 6 PM. Everybody went out, and surprisingly, nobody's staying home that night. It was so festive in town, that's the reason why !

We went to the city centre and saw hanging decorative lights everywhere . Then headed to Oxford castle for night Christmas market, it was wonderful. Crowded (of course!) but manageable, there were traffic polices everywhere, again with the decorative lightings, and also very fancy stalls selling fancy things - clothes, gloves, boots, paintings, ornaments, just name it ! But I couldn't stand the smell of hot/warm wine. It's everywhere, I guessed its a tradition to have it, and to keep their bodies warm. But nevertheless, I fulfilled my wish of having a nice, warm Gingerbread Man :)

The market was so carnivalesque. It even had children's-mini-theme-park in there, and ornamental-huge-flashy paper dove and swan (I understand why the dove is there, but swan?) . Any-hoo, I think I will enjoy my first English Christmas here. We'll see how it goes !

You know, I always have some "thing" going on inside me, like an excitement, whenever I see, or browse luxurious products, that ~~some~~ most of it, I couldn't even can get my hands on it because its too expensive . So all the time, I let the excitement runs through me, humor me for some reason that me, myself couldn't even understand . I guess, that's one of my guilty pleasure ?

I love handbags and shoes . And to be specific, I love Mulberry the most, when it comes to handbag . I love the English designs and even the names ! So, last ~~week~~ month (again, basi post!) my family and I visited Bicester Village for some shopping . And my dad gave me the privilege of choosing one thing as a gift to me from them, and I choose this :

And I didn't bought anything else, because I still considered the price is expensive even though they already marked it half price ! I love the laser print on the bag to bits, and I treasure and care for it and love it and bla bla bla bla . .forever !

New Housemate

JD, say HI !

It's nearly end of first semester, and this is the only time I could find to introduce my housemate . Nahh, not Ema ! Everybody knows her already . It's a furry friend, it's a cat :)

His name is JD (to avoid any further questions, JD is short for Josh Duhammel, haha) . I bought him from a local cat owner, and its only cost me about GBP 25 . Very cheap for a Tabby, if you're happened to go to Pets Wonderland at Midvalley, check the price for Tabby . It's insanely high ! Malaysia has this very ridiculous standard price for pets, maybe because they import them from other countries, plus the taxes bla bla bla . .a Tabby cost you almost RM 2,000 !

He's been around me, as the guardian of the house almost 3 months and already got his first vaccination last week. Say Hi JD :)

Amsterdam Trip

Oh no ! Its December already ?

In two weeks time, my classes will ended. I can say bye bye to my first semester in Brookes Uni . Somehow, I feel very grateful to have a chance to study in such a great university, but heck, this Masters programme really tighten up my arms and legs from moving . Seriously, no joke . I even abandoned my blog for almost three months ? Man, I love writing, but writing essays for the modules are even more important . Now, still, I'm in the middle of finishing my essay, but my brain went jam ! And I'm taking a lil' detour to write something tonight hehe .

Yeah AMSTERDAM ! (Okay, this is a basi story but I still wanna write about this!)

I went to Amsterdam for my study visit last months . Oh my oh my, it was orgasmic ! What ever articles in paper wrote about Amsterdam,or the pictures in every postcards have Amsterdam in it, they're all damn true . Amsterdam is such a nice place to visit, and if you are planning your honeymoon, Amsterdam is one place you want to put in your list . The city is clean, the architecture are magnificent, the food is super yummy, and the Dutch people - - - - very good looking :) Okay I'm out of vocabulary already, told ya already that my brain is totally haywire tonight.

We stayed there for 4 days and 3 nights, and thanks to our beloved lecturers, our hotel is located inside the Red Light District . Cool nuff ? But it's not as bad as what you'e thinking right now . The RLD now is not trashy and even it is elevated to be one of the famous tourism attraction (not because of the "thing" okay!). Yeah its true you can see shrooms, "brownies", marijuana, ganja, high-class prostitutes every where near the street but its all seems common because nobody make such a biggie about it, its legal man . (okay, I think I started to write like a crazy-Jamaican-woman here)

We had two days to visit our assigned site, and one day free for self-tour. We went to Amsterdam University for the second day for three-hours lecture, given by the local authorities. And on the third day, I bought the one-day ticket and went for self-tour around Amsterdam . Because its Autumn, so the daytime is shorter, and time was my biggest constraint that day . But I still could strike out almost three quarter of my "must-go" lists :) I went to Anne Frank Museum, Van Gogh Museum, the iconic "I AMsterdam" , Hard Rock Cafe, the Dam, the Flower Floating Market and the High Street for some shopping .

Dutch breakfast, Pankoek and the weird-name-Dutch-fried-rice (hey ! They even had fried rice !)

We had to go Almera for the last day, and headed back to London at 9PM. I never travel alone before and this was such a great experience for me, that I'm gonna treasure for the rest of my life. So now, Amsterdam - - CHECKED ! What's next ?

Almera's town (1) and (2) . Can you see the modern Dutch architecture ? Nice building, yet functioning. Not like some of other "display" building . Cool .

PS : Even myself couldn't remember what I was wearing for the whole trip. So no updates on the 'What-I-wore" in this post . In fact, I was a total mess . Malu .

Panasonic Lumix GF3

I lost my Canon EOS 350D last May, and it breaks my heart . Canon was my first DSLR camera, and even my first camera ever . I treasure my Canon more than I treasure my Tiffany necklace .t

So, I saved up my "duit raya" that I gain this year to buy a new camera . And thanks to my dad for generous enough to pay for my filter and HD memory card .

I choose white because - - -

"Ayah, I want the red one . Bright, striking and bold . Don't you think ?"

"But the white one is better!" (And he asked the Amoi to bring down the white Lumix)

"Red is nicer, the color blend with the black lenses."

"You know what, it has glossy finish, very classy and white contrast the black lenses even more . And it can blend perfectly with any of your shoes, clothes, pants, bags bla bla bla . . ."

DAMN! "Okay Amoi, I take the white one!"

. . . OF THIS ! I've been influenced by my dad . But I love it ! I initially opted for the red one, but it has matte finishes . So, no . Before I bought something, I made some surveys, did some reading and asked my friend's opinion to make sure things that I'm gonna buy are worth-buying .

Lumix GF3 is a great camera, but still, I prefer my old Canon more . But heyy, now I must learn to love my new camera so Hello Lumix GF3 ! Welcome to the family :)

Hello ! How's everybody doing ? Still can fit into your old clothes ? Still can eat rendang and lemang non-stop ? Or still counting your duit raya eventhough you guys already working ?

Me ? I was busy packing, and spending time as much as I can with Cot and all my BFF . And also visited all my uncle's and aunt's house to get their blessing before I'm going far, far away to study . Now, only five days left to go, I'm starting to have this weird, mixed feeling about it . I'm gonna miss my family (of course!) and my friends .

Okay, let's ditch all the sappy-mappy mood, and talks about Raya ! How's your Raya ? My Raya week was hectic and pack . And the best part is, I'm getting "duit raya" more than usual, reason ? Guys, finally the missing, stubborn puzzle is back here in Kuala Lumpur .

Okay, you guys can start slap him hard . For those who doesn't know who Cot is, he is my BFF who's now currently completing his Master in Architecture in Australia . And why we are sarcastically welcoming him ? This is because, he didn't even once step his foot to Malaysia since one and half years back and now, complaining how hot Malaysia is .

He he but we are glad he's here now, because we miss him so much *puke* .

Last week of puasa, and before everybody head back to kampung, we were having our last Iftar outside, at The Apartment, Curve . Initially, we opted for Marche, but the "brilliant" one said no need for reservation since everybody's heading kampung already . Ya right, Marche was full house as early as 4 . Thanks dude .

But Apartment didn't disappoint us, as the food and the services were super-fast and tip top ! Two thumbs up for you for improving the services and the food too (I went there last year, and quite disappointed with the horrible services and food) . Lots of stories to share, and we can see that his girlfriend *cough* faces were surprisingly glowing than usual, seeing him after being apart for quite some time HAHA .

The night flied so fast, it's time for Munif and Raden to say byebye because they're gonna be the family driver for their balik kampung trip . Safe journey guys !

Gossiping *sigh*

We had our polaroid moments *as usual* and had Gelare, the best waffles in town, for dessert . Next, midnight movie with only five of us, watching Horrible Bosses (you guys have to watch this! Super hilarious, I laugh till I cry) and ended up our night with two plates of infamous tauhu bakar at Uptown Kota Damansara - 430 in the morning .

The unplanned night was successful, and I can see that he's having a nice-bonding-time with everybody . And for me, I woke up at 1 PM and late for my facial appointment -____-

He made this happy-minta-penampar face all night, and the girlfriend couldn't stop making I've-been-paparazi-ed-face -____-

Iftar with BTN Buddies

At TGI Friday's, Pavillion

When I missed my first Iftar with my BTN buddies, I frantically forcing them to organize another Iftar . Even though we only spent a little amount of time together at Besut, but we are treating each other more like a family (and of course I'm the cute little sister, since I'm the youngest there, YIKES!) . Khairul agreed to it, and he organized another Iftar cum Ili's birthday celebration at TGI Friday's, Pavillion .

Too bad for Ili and Shima, they stuck in the traffic for 3 hours and arrived when everybody's nearly finish up the food and their food was getting cold . But, nothing can beat a hungry, growling tummy, all the plates were empty within 5 minutes *burp*. Then, we chatted and gossiped, but Shima had to go to Shah Alam and didn't manage to taste my super-delicious-mouth-watering three tier cake bought specially for Ili's birthday . Sorry Shima, don't blame us if you're salivating in front of your monitor !

Now, let's take a look on what made us unbuttoned our pants that night *grr* :

You guys make me smile from ear to ear :)

I couldn't express how grateful I am to have beautiful, caring family and friends around for this 24 years (and counting Insya Allah) of me living in this world . They are shoulders I lean whenever I had to cry, they are my ears for me to loath my problems, they are my laugh and joy and I thank God for all this . I want nothing more and nothing less, everything is perfect just the way they are now and I hope this will never stop .

I received two more gifts from my two special girlfriends, Ekin and Saza . And one from *someone*. These are what they gave me for my farewell / advance birthday gift . Three, very practical gifts I ever received :

Chillin' and feelin' like a Mexican

Last Thursday, all the BFF (except Cot who's still in Aus, and Sharifah who's still busy WORKING!) managed to get together for Iftar at Frontera Sol of Mexico, Jaya One . All of us felt our Iftar incomplete without having Mexican foods, and lucky us, JigoCity has this one awesome offer that we couldn't resist and bought it straight away ! Who doesn't love discount ?

For RM30, we got four generous serving of chicken, beef and prawn fajitas ! And its a lot for five of us, and we even ordered a Chimichanga, which at least, nobody were touching it because everybody was too focus eating the fajitas . This is the best deal I bought so far, not only it was crazily cheap and the portions were so oh-ma-gawd bountiful, but it was also - - - freaking delicious ! I could see the happy-bloated faces after finishing all the fajitas, and even had the guts to order desserts .

All of these for just a freaking RM30 !

This one is gooodddddd - full of nuts and I couldn't remember the name .

Munif was eating a FRIED cheesecake . Yes you read it right, FRIED !

What is Mochi ?

I went to Pavillion recently, accompanied my sister for her Raya shopping . But we were more interested in visiting the new-talk-of-the-town - Pavillion Tokyo Street . They gathered all the Japanese brands - ranging from Sushi restaurants to the famous RM5 store, all in one place . What I can say is that the concept is pretty unique and interesting, as you can see all the kiosks imitate traditional Japanese houses . Even the salesman also wearing yukata !

And look what I found here - a Mochi shop ! I couldn't stop screaming (silently inside) and salivating (because I'm fasting) when I saw this store, and people were queuing for it . I wanted to try Mochi so bad (after watching too much anime -___-) for so long and my wish has been granted . Thank you ~~Pavillion~~ God !

First time tasting it, I'm licking my fingers ! They are soft, a little gooey but the filling are orgasmic . Many flavors to choose from, I bought the promotion half a dozen box so i couldn't choose the one I like . But I still got my Green Tea Mochi !

Again, this "thing" was on my bed this morning . I swear to God I thought I was dreaming, and the postman, possibly, started to curse after sending one parcel after another, everyday to the same address .

Another gift, and me ? I was thrilled every time I saw new parcel on my bed every morning (lately, all my friends being too generous, I start to feel a little scared . . ) but this evening was different . Why ?

First, because I never expect a parcel coming from a blog-friend .

Second, if your eyes sharp enough, you can see she wrote "KUIH" under the 'item' section .

-_______- This was my expression, when I saw the word "KUIH" written there . I never thought a "kuih" can be delivered by mail, this is my first time experience receiving them and there's mixed feeling involved . Happy and . .puzzled ? This is what she send me :

Yes, you read it right, one freaking (and mouth-watering) bag of cookies .

Dinner with Propaganda

Last Sunday, my studio-mates organized a farewell dinner for me at Caffeinees, Kampung Pandan . I never heard of the restaurant before, so I guess why not to give it a try . I fetched Saza around 7, and fortunate us, we managed to arrive just before Maghrib azan .

We updated each other, gossip-ed and ate dinner . The food was just okay, still can't beat my Tony Romas sandwich :) The boys had their shisha, and the girls, of course continued gossiping . Around 10pm, we went to Bukit Bintang for karaoke .

The only food that we took a picture of, I rate the restaurant - 4/10 .

I will miss my original Propanganda studio-mates dearly . We've been together for 5 years, and I will be the first to leave Malaysia to further my study . *sappy moment*

I HATE !

I will be leaving Malaysia to study soon . Less than a month to go, and my luggage still sit, quietly in the corner of my room . Looking peacefully there till yesterday, my mom started to pull them out of my room and took them in the living room (where I spent most of my time in front of the computer) . Weird enough, she leave them there - - - - giving me a cynical metaphor of "my-daughter-wasting-her-time-on-the-computer-and-not-bother-to-pack" .

Okay mom, I understood .

I went into my room, and starred blankly at the wardrobe . Where to start ? Hmm *rubbing chin*

After 5 minutes . . *crickets chirping*

And I went back, sitting in front of the monitor . Seriously guys, even I already made a packing checklist I still didn't know where the hell to start . So I give up, and watch Sailormoon rerun whilst Google-ing on "Packing Checklist" and "How to Start Packing" .

I found this one blog wrote a post about "Basic Packing List" and I love how he listed things we NEED, not the things we WANT to bring . He also warned the student to not over-pack and having more than two suitcases per person . I think I'm gonna stick to his list . .for now .

I am officially an Oxford Brookes ~~slave~~ student !

Hmm, after one good news came after another I don't think I can shut my blog down . Even for a month . Too many stories to write, especially when all my friends started to ask me what I want for a gift . A farewell gift . I find it odd because usually, they all gonna sprint when I start listing what I want for my birthday . But not this time, they are the one who harassing me in Facebook, SMS, IM bla bla asking me what I want .

They are freaking me out, I swear . I am only going to study for a year for God sake, don't make it sound like I'm-migrating-and-so-long-Malaysia ! But truthfully, I'm bless for having such caring friends - - even for a month !

Because I know, after a week, no, three days top, they're gonna forget me and go on with their life like nothing has happened . Fake tears at the airport, ceh !

Oh back to the main topic, I just received a brown enveloped with an Oxford stamp on it . It's from my Uni , asking new students to complete their enrollment through online to avoid traffic at the main office on the first day . And because I hate queuing so much, so I decided to enroll through their website .

It's easy to read and understand, and the guides are super-good . In just 10 minutes, I already completed the enrollment forms and fees . And I am so grateful that I am a sponsored student, so my registration was accepted on the spot . (Usually, self-funded students having some difficulties due to some issues with their financial statement)

Nothing more I can say except, Alhamdulillah Ya Allah :)

And I'm gonna delete my hiatus post . . . .Later lah .

I never come late to a wedding, this was my first and hopefully my last . All thanks to my map reader, Syaza and Ezzah, we got lost for 3 hours and ended up under a "Kuala Selangor" signboard , where we supposedly headed to KLANG !

And, I promised to myself not to buy a wedding gift 2 hours before the wedding started . It was a disastrous moment ever . The tension was so high, you can't even imagine . No more .

And as told before, we arrived there at 4, where all the makciks started to clean up the table, the food, the bride and groom already lingering around without manners (HAHA), and the saddest part . .most of my friends have gone home :(

Yana's Big Day : Part 02

In my previous post, I've written about Yana's home reception and today it's her hotel reception turn . Nothing much to write, let the pictures be the judges . Beautiful decor, superb courses food (small portion but five courses, I ended up going home with bloated belly) , pretty and handsome bride and groom, and what I love the most is the event itself, rich with Johor culture .

Yana's Big Day : Part 01

Congratulation my petite mon cheri :)

I shed tears when I knew that one of my friend is going to end up her bachelor years . But we knew she will be the first one as she is one of the..err..serious type . HAHA okay kidding Yana ! Yana, our beloved doctor already started her marriage life with her choosen soulmate, Faizul . As what we Malays always said to a perfect couple, "sama cantik, sama padan", thats how we, the friends defined Yana and Faizul .

Initially, I was invited to the hotel reception on 9th June, but it clashed with my other wedding so I came to her home reception . Then, she postponed her hotel reception on the next weekend due to the Bersih 2.0 reformation. Fortunate me, I attended both of the reception :) Both of the reception are exceptionally great wedding, almost perfect .

I was called to be one of the usherette for both the weddings . Her home reception was a merry one, as the guests keep coming in and out till midnight . That's what made her wedding such a bless, when many people came to see you on your wedding right ? You are one lucky bride Yana dear .

I couldn't take my eyes of the cotton candy, eventhough its meant for the kids ! But below, its not my hand, its Dimmy's . Such a greedy girl .

Because she and her family are from Johor, I can see that she combined a modern wedding with a slight Johor tradition . Interesting , so I started to ask my mum if we have that kind of tradition in KL and Pahang (my mom is a pure KL-ians, and my dad is from Pahang) and she said , " no, but our grandparents are from Japan so I guess we can make a Japanese wedding, what do you think ?"

I was like . . . . .speechless . I can't imagine me in KimonoKurung . . . . . . .

Overall, it was successful, great wedding, great music, great food, but not so great pictures because she was so busy and being a bridezilla all night HAHA .

Father's Day Hi-Tea

This is my shout-out to all fathers in the world and father-to-be :

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY !

I know its kinda belated already but better late than never right ? I am so grateful to the Almighty Allah s.w.t for giving me the chance, again to celebrate this day (even though it is not a Islamic tradition but its not wrong to celebrate your Ayah kan?) and kiss his cheek and say, "Thanks for the all the hard work and patience for the last 23 years" . *wipe tears*

Okay, let's not being so melodramatic this time . So continue, we celebrated Ayah's day at Paya Serai Restaurant, Hilton PJ and treated him for a hi-tea buffet . And tell you guys, Paya Serai has the best hi-tea buffet in town and the theme of the buffet on that day is "International Food" . So much varieties and everybody started to salivating oh no .

Sweet-tooth craving . Uh-uh .

Because Ayah is not so fond of cakes, so I switched into muffins ! Our family loves good muffins, and that's why I bought them from Starbucks - Apple and Carrot muffins and Chocolate Chip muffins . YUMMY ! Before we raid the buffet table, we gave some Father's Day speeches (minus the tears) to Ayah and Adik recited doa for him and mama . It was quite a heart-touching moment, but after that to stop the tear-river from flooding the restaurant, we presented him a gift of the century - TADAAAAA !

A Samsung Galaxy Tab !

Okay, now his smile became wider and wider .

He was so surprised and happy , and we were too ! He is one modern dad, he hates to be left out when the new technology launched and Google about it straight away . And two weeks before this day, he told me about buying a Tab, to be his electronic organizer . So, here you go Ayah, hope you love our present this year :)

And we ate till we made our self bloated, and our tummy hurt . Not so much pictures taken because I forgot to charge the camera -_____-

Nevertheless, it was a happy day, everybody smiling and had to unbutton their pants on the way home HAHA .

Yana's Hen Night

It's wild and CLUCKingg !

To think everybody's now getting married makes me sad and happy at the same time . Its kinda like mixed feeling, but of course am happy for my friends to get together with their soulmate for the rest of their life, living their life together and ditching me out (okay, promise no emotional post this time) *cough* and living a happy life forever after .

So the next in line is . . Dr Ezyana Hani ! Our favourite doctor is getting married this July ! And you know aight, what's going to happen before the big day - of course a wild and raunchy hen's night ! Okay not that raunchy, we all are behaving as good as ~~nuns~~ innocent child here hehe .

Everything was well-prepared by the commitee , well-planned by the organizer Mimi and decorations done by ME ! Thanks to Fatt and her mom for the mouth-watering lasagne and spaghetti . The theme is red, but you know some of the people are born stubborn and ended up with purple and peach (lalala!) . After 4 hours of hard work, then its time to kidnap the bride .

When the bride arrived, we couldn't stop laughing - WHY ? You see why !

She laughed when she saw her own 15.y.o faces on the Wall of Shame, HAHA

How could they covered the bride's head with ASTRO paperbag all the way from Subang to Klang ? OMG ! And I didn't blame them because the bride was so anxious and curious, she tore our handmade blindfold -__-

And the party began, delicious dinner, heart-touching toast to the bride, and what not to miss - camwhoring time :) Everybody got their own name tag and door hanger as sourvenir, and I love what they have done with the table decorations . Two thumbs up for the commitee !

After cleaning up the table, everybody changed to pyjamas for game time . Even though it was already pass midnight, but everybody was still hype up , I think they were sugar high back then . We laughed so hard during the game and guessed what, I've got the hardest dare among all - to call the 10th person in my phone contact and . . .scream for 20 seconds . My face turned all blue, and hoping these puppy eyes could do the trick , so they pitied me but NO ESPECIALLY THE BRIDE . So I did it - -and felt so sorry to that 10th person (sorry Khairuddin!)

All ended up well, everybody smiling and laughing especially the bride. We were happy that she enjoyed the hen night so much, she couldn't sleep till 5 am and forced everybody to accompany her chatting . Thank God I was asleep early HAHA . Yeah we sleepover at Fatt's house and went back home early in the morning .

Ohh I forgot one important thing --- the cake ! It's a carrot cake but already wrapped in thick fondant (I hate thick fondant!) and look like this :

To guys out there, please don't imagine weird things . Okay ? And Yana please be patient hehe .

I miss my high-school friends now, especially when we didn't spend much time together . But once we met, everything seems so normal like before . Missing you guys so much :(

Thanks to Mimi, Fatt, Jua, Auni, Amal for the food and decorations . To Zaza and Hana for cleaning up the house the next morning. To Ajjie and Pia for the the photos which they're inside most of the pictures and Amirah for being the clown of the night HAHA .

To the Almighty God, I thank thee.

As you already know, I will be leaving Malaysia (Insya Allah) in 3 months time to further my study in the other continent . Now am busy making preparation for it including my MARA application . YEAH, its not a typo . I've got the MARA offer after sweating like a *** inside the interview room, and blank for 15 minutes .

I couldn't believe it either when I saw the word 'BERJAYA' on the online result, but its all HIS work, I thank him for that :) Now am so excited preparing what for MARA.

One of the requirement is : to achieve minimum 6.5 band in IELTS examination .

OMG I THOUGHT I COULD RAN AWAY FROM TAKING THE TEST . Damn .

So I registered at IDP, because that's the only centre open an application for 25th June, all other place including British Council has closed their application till 9th July. As I need the result as fast as possible, so I had to study every night preparing for the exam . You know, its hard to focus on the paper whilst you had your eyes on the monitor + internet . SO HARD !

I tried to study in my room .

I ended up - sleeping .

But alhamdulillah, I just came back from my speaking test today and everything went well as expected . I was quite nervous at first but really, selawat really helps during that time. Now, three more tests to go and I a done, MARA gimme your moneyy ! Okay am kidding !

So lemme share you some tips in case you get nervous easily (like me!) or having sudden-fright:

Okay, don't be like this . They didn't provide you any paper bags !

1) If you're a Muslim - selawat a lot ! Serious it does help :)
2) Don't practise/ read any notes before you enter the exam hall, you might end up going blank (I experience this) or having panic attack because you think you didn't know many things !
3) Take a deep breath and relax, don't grasp your hand or play with your pen as they could distract your focus .
4) Drink plenty of water, as they contains oxygen and it goods for your brain (this is fact!)
5) Just be yourself, walk in confidently, with straight posture and say to yourself ' I can do this!' - Insyallah you'll end up feeling good .

So good luck to you guys whom gonna take any exams, and wish me luck for my IELTS exam this Saturday !

My First Official Visit

To Sephora !

"OMFG, I'm running out of mascara and blusher, okay I've one blusher but not in tangerine !" *panic attack

That's what I ~~would~~ might say when I'm having a make up crisis, even though I'm not the I-cannot-go-out-without-painting-my-face girl, but mascara and blusher are my make up essentials. So without them, I AM LOST !

*drama queen moment*

Last weekend, me, my cousin Amir and my bff, Saza, went to Pavillion for window shopping and movie. I love Pavillion because it's easier to get a spot for your car regardless of the millions of teenagers, lingering around the entrance. Yes, when I say millions, I do not exaggerate . I still couldn't swallow up the trend of hanging outside the mall without doing anything, oh maybe I'm the one who's not up to date with the local trend perhaps ? Again, I am lost .

Nevertheless, Kungfu Panda 2 was awesome, even more awesome when you watch it in 3D ! Disney cartoons never disappoint me ! No spoiler this time, just go book your ticket and see it yourself . We had our late lunch at Carlos, yes my favourite spot and I am dragging my cousin there too. Not a surprise, he said the food was good . See, I told you and you guys too .

What's next ? Raided Sephora ! OMG the exterior skin of the building was so nicely done . I imagined that now I walked in some street that's somewhere in Europe . People's walking to and fro, heavy traffic, cool refurbished building, two thumbs up for the new Bukit Bintang :)

Entered Sephora with a wide, opened jaw . Lusting and salivating over multifarious of make up brands . Even my cousin and Saza had to hold me back from bringing all the shades of eyeshadow to the counter . Geez, sorry guys ! At last, I only managed to buy one Sephora mascara, a bee wax lip balm and a BB cream by Clinique . They tag-teamed and scanned my shopping bag before heading to the counter . . . . -__-

I love the paper bag design, so simple yet elegant , and I also have my obedient, Sephora guardian . HAHA .

And this is my Japanese cousin, Amito . Well he's not a pure Japanese, just came back from Japan after finished his study and now, talk like a Japanese everywhere he goes . Baka !

Moroccan Wedding

Let's belly-dancing people !

Unusual theme for a wedding, Moroccan. But lucky me, I've got the chance to experience a Moroccan theme wedding last weekend . It's my schoolmate friend's wedding, Nabila, and thanks my map-reader, we got lost till Tesco Rawang .

Nabila is the sixth (if I'm not mistaken) one in the batch whom already married . And I am so happy for you guys (and hate the hubbies for taking our good friends away!) Okay JK JK ! The wedding was held in Nabila's home in Templer Park, and you know what surprised me most ? She and her hubby arrived on a horse carriage ! Yes, there's a horse and she's on the carriage, so much for a fantasy wedding ayy ? She looked stunning in her purplish gown with her hubby on her side . Btw, her hubby is one of Malaysia motor-racer - - go Google !

Even though the weather on that day was not so good, but she managed to pull off a killing smile on the dais, and the event went off successfully . The food was awesome, because it was a Moroccan theme wedding, so you should expect a Tarbush-kind-of-food. There was lamb/mutton curry, black pepper chicken and . .Paratha and Hummus ! I've been dying to taste Hummus for a long time and I've got that chance in Nabila's wedding .

What more to look for after stuffing your tummy with good food ? Aight ? Oh there's one more thing that surprised me that day, there were three belly dancers performing on her wedding, accompanied by the evening rain. How's that sound ? Hmm guys, please close your mouth now.

The dais, the songs, the foods are all lovely . Congratulations Nabila on your wedding !

But the wedding's ceremony didn't stop there . . .

Me, Yana, Saza, Mimi, Auni, Jua, Mia, Amirah, Diyana and Fatin had to attend the Bertandang Ceremony as we were all promised to be her Dulang Girls. I didn't know the correct name for the person who carry the dulang hantaran so I just named us - -Dulang Girls, what a glamor name !

For the Bertandang Ceremony, the theme was Gold and White. And we could see some celebrities coming in and out from her wedding. The food, again was awesome as before . And there entertainment - -again surprised me even more than before ! HAHA just look at the pictures okay ?

The Potluck Ritual

Second and Counting ?

You know, after I left high school 6 years ago I felt like a big rock was removed over my shoulder . 6 years ago, my rebellious child mind thought that high school was one pain the arse, no kidding ! But now, I couldn't lie I miss my high school years . Varsity and working life are so much tougher compared to one year non-stop study for SPM. Thank God most of my closed high school friends live nearby me, mostly in KL. So whenever I feel like missing them, I could just grab my phone and Whats App them . Hehe .

And how do we catch up with each other ? POTLUCK ! After someone's wedding, we will attack their house for makan-makan session and everybody needs to contribute their own home-cooked food for the dinner but there are still some stubborn-metal-head who's too lazy to cook (you know who you are! HAHA) but we'll forgive you cause we know you're suck in cooking :)

This time it was Zeti's turn to be the host . Everybody's bringing their own cooked food, and surprisingly, all of them were damn good ! I am so proud of you guys, hehe . We talked, chatted, giggled (a LOT!), reminisced our high school years and ate like Shrek . We took silly pictures and the party ended at 3 am, thanks to Zeti's hubby for being so sporting to let us 'borrowed' her wife till late (sorry too!) .

Well then, who's next ? I couldn't tell, too many weddings to attend in June / July, I guess the Potluck will have to combine all the married couples and held it in a hall . Okay not funny .

My Graduation Day :)

UiTM Alumni, doesn't it sounds so good ? And I am now a graduate in Bach. Sc in Architecture , I still couldn't forget my family proud faces on my graduation day . My dad and my brother came, all suit up in Batik shirts, looking all sharp with black pants and . . leather shoes. My brother even warned me, if I didn't throw away the smirk, he gonna kick me in the arse ! And I nearly ruined my make up with tears when my mom (she's not so well atm) decided to come, being a stubborn-head even she knows that she couldn't stand sitting down for six hours . I love you guys so much, and thanks for being there on my big day, the day I waited for so long after 5 years of study and struggling .

And thanks to our new VC, our graduation ceremony was held till 630 pm . I couldn't feel my leg when they asked us to queue after sitting down, watching and listening to the short-movies, yeah I know you'll think that how cool was my graduation day aight ? We got short movies in the hall ? At first, it was cool, the VC wanted us to know that no matter how far we go, never ever forget our family and where we came from . But the movie went on . .and on . . and on . .and by the time all the movies (yes, not ONE movie) ended, I see some sleepy faces, and some sad faces and, there was some even snore. But anyhoo, it was a very good job VC , it will be such a reminder to graduates for their future undertaking.

And I didn't manage to have million shots on my graduation day, because of my mom's condition and it's already late . Nearly 7 pm . But at least I've got few lovely shots with my bff :) Congratulation to you too Sharifah !

Guess Game : Ice or Cream ?

Have you heard about the next best dessert ? No ?

You are two thousand and SUPER late !

Last week, my best friend asked me to accompany him to The Strand . I was so lazy, I just wore whatever I have on my body that time and out . He said he wants to fulfill his sweet tooth craving, too much estrogen flowing on his body I guess .

Off we went to Ice Room, The Strand at Sunway Damansara .

Nice place, nice ambience, NICE SET OF MENU . I ended up with Bolognese Spaghetti infront of me after ten minutes we sat there . I hated myself for eating carbs at 10 pm *facepalm !

I even order Blueberry Ice Cream, I don't know what to call this dessert, its an ice cream but the texture is more like 'shredded' ice, no kidding ! Too soft, awww (Sounded so wrong here . . . )

In case you are wondering , the black ice cream is Black Sesame flavor . Top Pick !

Short post, nothing interesting except for . .

THE MEXICAN FOOD PICTURES !

I went to Pavillion just to satisfy my craving for Mexican food, and the best Mexican food I ever had is at Carlos Mexican Canteena . Never heard or try it ? Go and grab your boyfriend's hand (and wallet!) and order some Mexican delicacies, you will never regret it .

Okay now I sounded like a Mexican promoter, Ole Ole !

We ate A LOT : Crispy Potato Skin, Seafood Spaghetti, Mushroom Burger, Fruit Punch, Peach Margarita Mocktail

Smile and Tear in the same sentence

Dramatic enough ? Wait till you hear the whole story .

I spent my whole weekend, staring at my two, new gadgets . Thanks to my shameful face, and Ayah's wallet, I managed to get what I'm craving for so long - a new laptop and a new handphone . Both my gadgets are already worn out, my Blackberry keypad already lost the 'Z' pad, and my Sony Vaio becoming slower and slower each day. I couldn't even finish up coloring one elevation with that old Vaio.

Initially, I'm aiming for Asus N series but the last piece was sold out as I was about to make the payment at the counter ! With a broken heart, I bought my second option which is Alienware . Not so much a fan of it, cause it damn heavy . I nearly twisted my shoulder whilst carrying it , oh no . And Ayah was too generous that day, he went to the HTC booth and bought me a HTC Desire HD . I WAS VERY TOUCHED THANKS AYAH :)

Alienware M15x - super fast, good for gamers (of course) and for designers . I can even open 20 windows and it didn't even slowing down a bit . But a bit worried for their battery life span, as I read at the forum that Dell computers can easily overheat even if we let them switch on for four to five hours . *cross fingers.

HTC Desire HD - My first Android, and yes, I am a BB traitor (what Difad called me after she knew I was switching ti Android phone, hi hi) . What I can say is that, I feel kinda cool, Bimbo moment occurs *ALERT* ! Hehe, sensitive touch screen, systematic organizer, and . .lotsa things are free from Android market . Road to IELTS

Raiding British Council, Jalan Ampang

Today, I've got to force my dad to accompany me to British Council to register for IELTS . Yes, I thought I was able to run away from taking any test but nooo ! I guess I have to take it anyway, geez . I already received an offer from one university without asking any additional condition, but I did this because MARA said so .

So, I need to study, AGAIN . Facing text books, AGAIN . Same like high-school and university, in order to polish my English - especially in writing . (even though I'm writing my blog in English but I often refer to my dear dictionary, see how suck I am !)

To those who are thinking of taking IELTS, we need to ready an amount of RM570 for the fees and choose where we want to take the test . So I choose to do it on 7th May at Corus Hotel, so guys wish me a lot of luck okay ? Pray for me ! IELTS has four stages which are listening, reading, writing and speaking and my friend already warned me about the listening test as they are conversing using pure English accent . OMG . Got to listen carefully lah macam ni !

Settled everything in just 30 minutes of time, British Council was very efficient ! Cool ! We dropped by Coffee Bean for some coffee and ice-blended . Guess I lost my sweet-tooth craving, I found my favourite Caramel Coffee Ice Blended too sweet ! OH NO, I'm turning into an old lady already . I found my Blueberry muffin kinda blend but I can see my dad salivating over it (I'm exaggerating!) . He couldn't have his favourite muffin anymore, his health and his doctor wouldn't allow it . Pity him , I'm eating his favourite food . .in front of him : GUILTY !

Oh NO, BIG NO ! I've finished my Dexter rerun ! Now, I've got nothing to accompany me in the LRT anymore . How could you leave me alone, DEXTER ! !

I had to wait for Dexter Season 6 to come out, but according to the producer, Scott Buck (don't know whether this is just a rumor or what), the Season Six will make it debut on September 25th on Showtime, which by that time I'm no longer be working or even been in Malaysia ! So, I'll be alone in the LRT till August, sulks .

Nevertheless, I'll patiently waiting for you on Screen, Michael C. Hall . He recently turns 40 (HOT 40!) and cancer free ! YEAY HIM *kiss kiss

Now, I'm going to watch him, again, on Season 5 . Bye all !

Headband and Scarves, what do you think ?

I love trying new style of hijab, but when I'm kinda bored with the same style I wore every time I'm out of the house . Especially to work, you can see how different my hijab at 9am (checking in) and 6pm (checking out). At lunch, I've got so uneasy with my scarves, I turn it to another style which I can confirmed you, not that stylish . HAHA . So, no photos !

I didn't realize how messy I am with my scarves till THIS someone appointed this HUGE crisis to me .

Someone : Sometime Sara, you look good in those but some TIME you do look like a mess . Because I love you, I told you now, if not, you'll be wearing a sarung cempedak in your head for the rest of the day .

Me : Silent (but thinking of slapping her hard for being too outspoken)

Muhsin's Wedding

Congratulation, my ex-supervisor !

This post is actually . .a last week post, but being busy for last whole week makes me delayed it until today . Last Saturday, me and Syaza (and fellow officemates) went to Muhsin's wedding at Sg. Penchala . Before I successfully reach there, I printed the map from Google Map and even studied the area . Silly me, I didn't know it's located within Damansara . Swear.

But, I left the map at home . So me and Syaza depended on the wedding card map to get there .

Sadly, we lost . Thanks to Saza the map reader .

After 15 minutes going nuts with the road, we finally there ! And Muhsin's house is only beside Rasta . TOTALLY beside Rasta TTDI .

Anywho, I was craving for Ayam Masak Merah since Zeti's wedding . But I don't know whether it's a trend for wedding now or not, they opted for Ayam Berempah instead of traditional Ayam Masak Merah . I'm so sad . But my prayers had been answered, I found my precious chicken right before my eyes at Muhsin's YAYY !

Nothing much to write, weddings are all the same . The bride and groom were all looking pretty and handsome, the food was nice, typically wedding cuisine, but OHYA , their theme was white and pink . Looking Muhsin in pink made me wanna roll-on-the-floor-laughing-out-loud ! HAHAHAHAHA you look . .different than usual .

Nice, simple Malay wedding and I enjoyed the food :) The had an icing cake but I passed . Not so much a fan of icing, too sweet for my taste .

Last but not least, Congratulations 'BOSS' and 'BOSS's WIFE'!

Anyhoo - - I bought these pretty-pretty-pretty Yadotsa Fluvous Lazuli Blue Top from FashionValet (because I can't afford to look at the Chromosome Pants in Yadotsa e-boutique, just a safe precaution measure, FV is the alternative place to buy this lovely top) . The combination of brown and navy blue is genius ! Today was my first time going up to Level 69 in Petronas Twin Tower for my first ECER meeting . Replacing the ex-staff and taking over a meeting with an super-important client made me kinda nervous . I even lost my IC back then, thanked to the receptionist for believing in me and still gave me the visitor ID . My feeling up there ? I wanna faint, it's so HIGH ! ! I will never ever locate my office up there, scary .

Saturday Date with Saza

Ahh, after 5 days a week, working like a Geek, weekend is the only time I've got to spend some time to myself (if I didn't have any extra works to take home) . Yesterday, me and Saza went for a date . A pretty, tiring date I would say . We jumped from one place to another and thanks to the heavy walking every day from LRT to office, my both legs kinda fit for a long walk . No complaint ! Just the body need some rest and . .spa treatment maybe ?

And yes, we were bloody tired looking at each other after seeing each other's face every single day at work . But what to do, she's the nearest BFF I could reach ! Others . .no where to be found HAHA .

First stop - Lowyat ! How ironic is it, I never-ever-everrrr want to go to Lowyat unless someone forces me to, or I've got really-REALLY important stuffs to buy . Or else, I will skip every trip to Lowyat ! Cannot stand the crowd, omg . But since I'm working, this probably my, third, or fourth time there . I don't know why . Saza had some problem with her new BB, so we went there for a check-up . But there's no software engineer available on weekend, and asked us to come back on weekdays . How dumb is that ? ? Weekend is the only day we, THE WORKING PEOPLE are free so that we can run our personal errand on that particular day and they told us to come in weekdays, where our working hours can only be ended at 6 , going through heavy traffic for couple more hours just to reach your freaking mall, for a freaking check-up and you have the guts to told us you'll be close at . 9 ? ? Are you freaking kidding me (blood rush to the brain, fast, sorry for the foul words guys!)

Fine, we left Lowyat and straight headed to Pavillion for a therapy . Window-shopping therapy after being so pissed off on one handphone check-up . Later yet, we decided to watch the handsome Stephan Rahman Hudges (its only me who wanted to watch him, Saza just went along with my self-excitement) . We had an early dinner before the movie started, due to our low-cash-in-the-wallet yesterday, we were OK for food court food . Pavillion has the best food court food I ever eaten, seriously .

I ate . .Kueh Teow Tomyam (I know, boring me) and Saza tried a Korean dish which I hardly remember the name of the food, but it's some sort of chilli cuttlefish dish . .yeah something like that :P

Then, off we went to the movie, to be mesmerize by Stephan Rahman charm . Hehehe . It was a nice movie, and I admit, its hard for me to watch Malay movie in cinema, usually I will wait for the movie to be on TV the next coming year . But Merong Mahawangsa is one Malay movie that worth a watch . Thanks to KRU brothers for bringing something new to our film industry, you really made all Malaysians proud :)

This time, I'm not spoiling any scene . You guys must witness the brothers' creativity yourself . Go and book your ticket in your nearest cinema, in case you're watching these movie with your girlfriend, mind you, just ignore whenever you girlfriend going 'oohh' and 'aww' over Merong Mahawangsa . He is one charming Merong I tell you !

I rated this movie : 4 stars :)

Ate Shiminos after the movie, and I was freaking bloated on my way home . Cleaned all my make up and off to bed . Dozed off .

Working Life

Busy, Busy, Busy

Finally, I've got some time to update my blog . And this time, I wanna talk about how does working life feels . I've been working for three weeks now, and loving every bits of it . I am now an Assistant Architect in a good firm , learning and working at the same time . My firm is far awayyyy from home, it's like travel from end to the other end, and you know how troublesome KL traffic could be, I am not taking any chances to be late to work . So, I come up with a great solution but have to sacrifice some time and energy - riding the LRT !

YEAH I AM RIDING THE LRT TO WORK ! In case you are wondering, from one end to the other, it takes about 40-45 minutes to reach Setiawangsa station and if Saza not occupied with meeting, she fetch me with her car, if not, I've got to walk about another 15 minutes to my firm and add another 5 minutes more to climb up to level 3 ! For now, my iPod is my best-est buddy, from 730 am till 8 pm . Without you, I'll be bored to death in the lrt and whilst doing my SKP .

Apart from all the complaints, I've shed some extra weight, officially makes me LOVE working ! Ha ha .

In three weeks, I've learnt quite a lot and thanks to my boss, I've got to be part of one company's major project with the government : to plan and revitalize Cherating town and that's absolutely what I'm dying to learn about, getting some ideas of what I'll be studying in UK later . My colleagues are super awesome, and the best part is, I work in the same firm with my BFF, Saza :)

Talking about working outfits, I wear what's practical and comfortable but yet still formal, or semi-formal . I've can wear pretty working clothes and matches with colorful shawls, and I even beg Ayah to gimme some money to buy new shoes ! Consider it as my 'working shoes', haha . Maybe tomorrow I'm going to make puppy eyes to Ayah, maybe he will gives me some money to buy a 'working bag' ? Gotta try my luck ! Hehe .

But there's still some cons - I've got saggy face, eye-bags, black circle, tired face and body, sore feet, dull hair .Got to top up my Touch and Go every week, and got to manage my financial (blergh!)

I think I'm going to be one workaholic career woman, because I didn't bother to look at the watch every single hour for lunch break or when office hours to be ended . And that's bad . I agree when some people said, once you start working, you will no longer interested to study . But I'll try to love both, but for now, working is my first priority (nooo, UK IS MY FIRST!) err . .I'm confused ?

Anyhoo, like I always said, pictures tell thousand stories . So lemme take you for a mini tour in my firm . If you seen anything . .err, inappropriate, just keep it to yourself !

My working haven, or hell, I couldn't decide . But this is my workstation . Messy ? This is called 'art of architecture' HAHA ! That's only a bungalow project, now let me show you where I kept my project files .

This is how I organize my files, if you think I am sloppy, wait till you see others ! I can consider my place is the tidiest place in the firm, but I think it can only lasts about a week or two . When it comes to submission day, you can see how disastrous architect's place could be . Believe me, you didn't want to witness it . . .

Btw, I'm so sad because Muhsin already leave my firm . He's getting married , but I'm losing one hellava ~~badass~~ great supervisor ! He's the architect I'm assisting, and now he's gone . .the works load on me ! ! You'll be greatly miss by me and all those evil files you left at my table ! ! GRR ! Congratulations Muhsin :)

Excited to work ? Study rajin rajin first, get a good job, earn BIG BUCKS :) That's my principal of . .life I think ? Hehe .

Melbourne Day and Let's Say Goodbye to Aussie, and BFF :(

**Again, let's pray for the Japanese and Malaysians in Japan . Let's pray for their safety, even they are not even related to us but Islam teach us to look after others in need, being respectful even they are not Muslims, but we are all human . I am happy to know that my cousin and my fellow friends are fine there . Alhamdulillah.

It's the final chapter of my trip, I guess you guys must be jumping joy right now, no ? But I hope you guys enjoy reading what I've written here and make you interested to visit and learn more about Australia . We all love travelling . .and shopping, aight ? Melbourne is one place that should be on your vacation list, save some money to see the other side of the world . It's broaden your knowledge horizon and sometime, or most of time, empty your wallet BUT fulfill our empty wardrobe he he he .

We spent our last two days in the city of Melbourne . Shopping, sight-seeing, eating, watching people, riding tram, walking up and down . Thanks to Cot, our BFF / tour guide, we somehow completed our vacation in Aussie with big, wide smile on our faces :)

Melbourne is nice, pretty and have absolute interesting architecture . Very modern yet very traditional . Loving the people, so warm and polite . We didn't take much pictures as we were so overwhelming looking up for the buildings and looking down for the sales . Ha ha . Sorry if many of the pictures showing me with buildings, what to do, I am an architecture student . Okay not a student anymore !
